Release 3.2.3-pre1

I have now released a new developmental snapshot: 3.2.3-pre1. The main 
change in this is the complete rewrite of the layout engine. Layout now 
relies on a template approach written by Martin Ertl.

Note that this is a development snapshot, mainly available for those who 
want to test new stuff, rather than for those who want something stable 
for production.
