Floating rectangles in the output?

Hi:

I have noticed that in the output screens, blank rectangular bars are displayed
after the questions, but above the Submit/Clear buttons.

I have realised that the time stamp command (TIMER) is generating one of these,
but unsure as to the others (sometimes there are two or three of these bars -
they are the width of the screen)

Any ideas as to why this is happening, and how to eliminate them?

I am using small little notebooks and that just means more scrolling down for
the respondents....
