AFAIK, this is an interface for remotely controlled backup.

It is higly complex and from a quick looks as if it would cause a lot
of new code to be added to star.

Could you write some sample code?

But note, I would expect something like a libdmapi on Solaris which
I could not find. So it seems to be only bundled if you buy Veritas.
