Yepper - I just flagged this as all platforms I added your report to the bug thread. https://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2700 I've managed to see this a couple of times with the 3.0.0 release (I never saw it in RC testing) but I can never find reproducible steps - hence the "Moonphase" tag for the bug. Luckily it does not seem to cause data loss/project damage - but it's an annoying bug for us and a worrying one for users..
