There have however been some cases of Audacity freezing when using Japanese, Chinese, ... on Windows. The freeze problem is due to a bug in a recent Windows update. Microsoft claim to have fixed this issue, so hopefully it won't occur if Windows is fully up to date. A few users have reported excessive slowdown problems, so if you get that issue you may want to go back to 2.4.2 until 3.0.3 is released.
