Re: Recording with external mic

The Mic specs indicate you have separate mic and headset plugs.  Most computers have a combined plug for headset with mic.You might need something like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M0T6PSF/ref=psdc_3224439011_t2_B01I3A47I4To be able to use on computer (built in input) , but I am not familiar with your computer.

I have a headset with a mic that I’d like to use to record voice tracks.  The mic options in my Audacity are “Built-in Mic” and “Built-in input”.  I dug around in the manual and help forum and somewhere came up with the info that in order for the program to recognize an external mic, the mic needs an adapter.  Could not find info about what kind of adapter.

The headset I have is a Koss CS95 “stereophone with electret, noise reduction mic”  Maybe this won’t work anyway.  All I have right now is the mic built into my computer.
