I am on Mac OS 10.9.5, working with Audacity 2.2.2 I have a headset with a mic that I’d like to use to record voice tracks. The mic options in my Audacity are “Built-in Mic” and “Built-in input”. I dug around in the manual and help forum and somewhere came up with the info that in order for the program to recognize an external mic, the mic needs an adapter. Could not find info about what kind of adapter. The headset I have is a Koss CS95 “stereophone with electret, noise reduction mic” Maybe this won’t work anyway. All I have right now is the mic built into my computer.
