Some very expensive drives have in the past caused major problems, and some cheap/free drives have been among the best rippers I've ever owned. I just picked up some new Pioneer DVR-2910 drives, which are now the only SATA drives I have personally. They come recommended by others, I should be able to give a report in a few days. Monty
