[Csnd-dev] Csound 7 - Status Update

Hi All,

Hope you're all well and wishing you all a healthy and happy 2024!

I wanted to mention that I've gone through the issues in Github and have
attempted to mark those that should target the initial Csound 7.0.0 release
by adding it to the 7.0.0 Milestone. These can be viewed here:

I have placed other issues that look like they should be done sometime
during 7.x releases into the 7.x milestone.

Please feel free to review the issues in the tracker and respond on the
tickets accordingly if you think it should be moved to a different
milestone.

Additionally, I have created a Kanban board for Csound 7.0.0:

and imported the issues that are in the milestone to the backlog. I have
moved an item into "In progress" and would like to use this to keep track
of current progress of issues.  If you are taking up an item please assign
the item to yourself and move the item on the board. As I have not used
Github Projects in a while and it's been updated since I last used it, do
let me know if you are unable to make changes and I will work out
permissions or make the change myself.

Hopefully these tools will help us to ramp up work on CS7 and give
visibility for progress and who is involved on issues. Since this is new, I
expect it will take a little time for us to figure out how to best use all
of this but I hope it will ultimately help move forward.
