Not sure about Emacs, but Istvan Varga did a nice syntax highlight for Vim. So perhaps that work could be adapted? Or you could try out Vim ( no holy wars please!!! ha ha ) I tried both and found the vim methods really quite nice for csound. And if you don't already know elisp, you might like the fact that you can script and control vim using python, perl, and ruby.
