One thing I'll say is that the extra dough for spdif can come in really 
handy sometimes. ( Say if you're tossing up delta 44 vs delta 66, or mia 
vs Gina or something. ) You can use old dat decks as converters, or use 
them as extra outs to high quality dat recorders, etc.
