relational databases and csound

I've been investing time into learning sql and relational databases
so I can use a database to create csound scores.  I've been
thinking about the possibilities of sql, databases and python.  It
seems like the combination would make a powerful sequencer if your
processing large scores.  Has anyone out there tried using a db to
manipulate a csound score?
