Asunto: [EAC] EAC v1.1 burn failure under Windows 10
I have been using previous versions of EAC on older computers for years.
Now I have built a new system running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, and I have installed EAC v1.1.
After configuring the drive options, I successfully ripped some CD tracks and generated a cue sheet from within EAC. When I tried to burn the CD, the progress bar indicated it was burning the lead-in, but there was no drive activity. After about 5 minutes, the progress bar reached the end. Nothing more was happening. I hit cancel, but the program seemed to be locked up.
Finally, I used Windows Task Manager to kill the EAC process. At this point, drive activity started, and continued for several minutes. When it completed, I had a CD-R with a track listing, and it would "play" but there was no sound.
I put a new CD-R in the drive and used ImgBurn to burn from the Cue Sheet created by EAC. This process was successful, resulting in a fully functional CD.
Any ideas why EAC didn't do the burn? Thanks!
John
