SQL Server Compact Edition?

I have been using EAC for years, but not heavily.  I never had a question about it until now.  My system is running Windows 10 Pro.

I use a program called Secunia PSI to tell me when I need to upgrade software because it is insecure or out of date.  It recently started telling me that Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition is "End of life", and that the secure version is 2008.  (Another source says the current version is 4.0.)

SQL Server Compact Edition stores data in a .sdf file.  The only .sdf file I have is:
...AppData\Roaming\EAC\CDDB.sdf

Am I correct to assume that EAC installed SQL Server Compact Edition?

Are there any EAC issues with upgrading Compact Edition to 2008?  To 4.0?
