Hello Roy, no, EAC did not install SQL Server 2005 CE to your computer, but just stored the DLLs into the EACs application directory (on EAC install). (If it is installed to your computer, it wasn't installed by EAC). The fine difference is, that this version of SQL Server can only be used by EAC but basically no other application within your system. It might be problematic to change the used SQL Server, as you would need to exchange the CLSID in the HelperFunctions.dll to "2006C53A-C915-41EA-BAA9-9EAB3A1FBF97" (if I am right), so you should know what you do. Anyway, I don't expect any serious security problems using the older version...
