Thanks for that explanation. I use Discogs quite a lot, particularly for
dividing up live albums when the tracks aren't so obvious in Audacity,
because many of the track listings include track lengths. But, with
hundreds of albums on my hards drives there's no way I can go through
every one that doesn't have Tags, look each up on Discogs and have
Mp3Tag pull in the track titles and make Tags.
So, if Mp3Tag can use the information that I have so laboriously entered
manually over the years to generate the tags then that's what I'll ask
it to do (I've not even downloaded the programme yet) as long as I can
point it at, say, my directory of artists beginning with "A" and let it
it do its stuff.
It's been a really interesting discussion and thanks to all who have
contributed. As soon as I have some time I'll sit down and have a play.
