Try switch between internal/external interface in EAC options/interface tab…
Sometimes it helps…

Oggetto: [EAC] No writable CD in drive - error.
Hi there,
So I'm getting the No writable CD error message, even though there is definitely a blank, unwritten disc in the drive.
Other applications can see and write to the drive, it's only EAC that can't.
I have tried an uninstall/clean reinstall, but sadly that hasn't worked.
I did also look about online for other solutions, but haven't found anything other useful than what I've already tried.
Weirdly, I noticed yesterday in Drive Options/Write tab, that I can successfully use the Detect Write Features function.
This machine has previously run EAC without a hitch for about 7 years. It was accidentally removed by an IT technician who re-imaged the machine, deleting all it's contents. I haven't been able to get EAC to work on this machine since , even though the only thing about it which has changed is the internal HDD.
If anybody is able to offer any help, it would be very much appreciated.
I use EAC regularly for my work, as well as for personal use, so I really appreciate your time.
Many thanks,
Brett.
