Hey everyone, this has happened to my eac, also, after some recent Windows 10 update. EAC always worked properly until a few weeks ago, and it still doesn't work like it used to.
I ran the flac.exe file by hand and it returns error code (5), I think that's trying to tell me that I no longer have executable rights in the directory, but even changing ownership and/or even running as administrator, it fails exactly the same way. Dang!
Hope this helps! I had to stop using EAC for now, because after it generates each wav file, the prepared metadata just gets thrown away when the flac conversion fails. Help!!
