I was wondering because I read one of the threads where someone said something about wishing Andre had done a Linux port. It seemed like this was no longer possible because it wasn’t being further supported. As I am new to this group I wasn’t sure; it seems I was misunderstanding. I can certainly understand the maturity issue. The product seems to be very well developed to do something that doesn’t change much and as you stated is becoming less in demand.
The support here has been great to get me over the initial issue I had. Still working my way through the resources, but starting to get the hang of it. Thanks for the info on Easy Audio Copy.
Regards,
Mike

Mike,
The current version of EAC is 1.3.
As to whether it is “actively supported,” I won’t presume to speak for Andre. But I will note the following:
* Andre maintains the domain exactaudiocopy.de website with extensive information about EAC, download links for it, etc.
* Andre is a member of this group and just posted to answer questions about compatibility issues with various third party applications.
* He has published his physical address, phone number, and an email address, the latter of which is designated as an appropriate place to report severe bugs.
If, by “actively supported,” you are referring to ongoing efforts to add features, enhance the user interface, improve performance, etc., then I’d assume the answer to be “no.” EAC is a very solid piece of software, but it’s a mature application for a shrinking market in light of the shift away from CDs and towards commercial streaming and digital downloads of music. On top of that, I doubt that the “Donate” button on the EAC website has been used enough times to warrant an extensive expenditure of Andre’s time in further development.
If you require something with greater levels of support, you should consider purchasing Easy Audio Copy (http://www.easyaudiocopy.com/index.htm).

Me neither. I suspect this is simply because it's no longer there in the current version & that page
hasn't been updated to refelect that.
