If you have a need to move your music/mp3's to another location, you don't need to worry about leaving your album art behind. It travels with the music file.

There are still inferior players out there that only work with embedded pictures, the best-known of which is the iPod. Though I think the original poster was asking about FLAC files, which wouldn't apply to an iPod (another reason it's inferior).
