I just wanted to thank everyone who helped me with this issue ..
rerunning the setup wizard resolved the issue and I can be lazy again ;)
Happy New Year everyone.
BTW .. the reason I want the album cover embedded is that many of the
artists I listen to are independents and in some cases obscure.
Depending on the player and how it finds an album cover, it is not
unusual for songs without embedded covers to show a blank album covers.
