FLAC may be a must-have feature for you, but Apple Lossless (ALAC) works at least equally well for millions of people (besides, transcoding Simon and Garfunkel’s “Bookends” album from FLAC to ALAC took less than four seconds on my computer).

Audio performance is what matters most to many people, not whether a player finds external cover art files or which lossless formats it supports.

Choose whatever player fits your criteria, but don’t tell others that their players are “inferior” because they don’t have the feature set you want.  Thank you.
