Is it normal for those errors to come up? I tried both links in EAC and it doesn’t work.

Yes, in EAC -> Metadata Options -> freedb -> freedb Server just enter

http://freedb.dbpoweramp.com:80/~cddb/cddb.cgi

Also the gnudb server does work at

http://gnudb.gnudb.org:80/~cddb/cddb.cgi

But you need to start EAC with command line option -HTTP1.1

(in upcoming versions this flag will be set as default, so this will not be necessary in the future)

Best regards,

Andre

It's not a standard URL, you're supposed to add it in EAC under the Metadata Options.

All I get at freedb.dbpoweramp.com <http://freedb.dbpoweramp.com> is a default page that says the Apache HTTP server is installed and running. No database lookup stuff.

Edit/update:
Just saw on the Hydrogenaudio forums that dBpoweramp is now hosting a
freedb instance at freedb.dbpoweramp.com <http://freedb.dbpoweramp.com> .
