I don't think it will validate a single track by itself, but it will
validate (and, in some cases, even /correct/) an entire album consisting
of single tracks.
It has a companion ripper, but EAC is more stable and reliable. It's not
that CueRipper doesn't work /most/ of the time, but in a lot of cases
where EAC will continue to work very, very hard to get a clean read on a
problem disc (often ultimately successfully!), CueRipper will often just
give up after a while and throw an error.
The only real advantage I can think of to CueRipper over EAC is that its
current version is better than EAC's current version at identifying
discs/tracks with pre-emphasis. For most people that's really not a
concern. For those of us who now openly identify as old and who remember
buying into CD almost from the beginning and who never get rid of any
media, it can be helpful. :)
