While we're still in transit, perhaps Andre could modify the official EAC
web site's "contact" page (
http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/en/index.php/information/contact/) so that in
addition to mentioning the Yahoo group, it would direct people to the new
group for subscribing and information.
The current link to Yahoo groups brings up a pop-up announcement about
Yahoo groups shutting down in December. Adding a link to the new groups.io
group -- either the email "subscribing" link (in Don's email quoted below)
or a link to the new group's home page (https://groups.io/g/ExactAudioCopy)
-- would be helpful. Then users who check the EAC web site will still find
us.
Groups.io's "Member's Manual") says the home page should show a way to
subscribe for people who aren't already subscribed. Since I'm subscribed, I
logged out to see what it looks like. It's a blue button that says "Apply
For Membership In This Group".
I hope this helps get the word out to anyone who isn't already reading the
Yahoo group messages. -- m.
