Issues using OSC input in ecasound 2.9.3 Ubuntu

 I can't seem to get past this error message when using ecasound, compiled
with liblo0-dev: *"lo_error: num=-8, msg=Servname not supported for
ai_socktype, where=(null)"*

I confirmed my OSC setup is sending data on that port as well, but ecasound
doesn't seem to agree. I've read that this error seems to occur in relation
to */etc/services *but I don't know what name to set for the service, or if
that will even help.
I tried *osc 8000/udp *to no avail.
