It's a ball-ache the way Logic incorporates some of its more useful features
isnt it! It's (as usual) a workaround..but the best way i have found to use
the arpegiator is to wire it directly between your 'Physical Input' and your
'Recording & Thru' components in the Clicks and Ports tab of the
environment. Obviously when you have finished using it you have to take it
out again and re-wire your environment as before.

The one problem i encounter with this is that, whilst the arpegiator runs in
tempo with logic, its note-on command is in sync with your key press so you
will have to drag your resulting arpegiation into time afterwards, but a
simple 'select all' and a click and drag on the first note in the matrix
view will suffice for those non-divisible-by-4ths-and-6ths-notes hehe

I think it's a bit silly that an arpegiator component wasn't included
somehow in the effects or instrument menu as a modifier to automatically do
this for you. but hey ho.

hope this helps, and if someone has found an easier way to do this id love
it please!
