Environment/Proteus 2000/Phatt rom card

Hello there guys
I wondered if someone could help me with what is actually quite a simple
problem that has stumped me. I have logic express 7, MOTU midi express 128
and A recent EBAY purchase of a proteus 2000 with the purephatt expansion
card fitted.
Now the problem is I can only seem to get 16 midi channels in Logic instead
of the 32 on the proteus. I seem to have tried every permatation available
but with no luck. I'm not sure if it's a Environment or A Proteus problem
more than likely its down to my own stupidity. If I assign both ROMs to port
6 which is where the 1st set of midi ins & outs are I can get sounds from
both ROMs  but with the 16 midi channel limit if I assign the Phatt ROM to
port 7 on the MOTU wich is where its physically attached I get midi
information in via the transport window but no sound. I've tried the MSB/LSB
prog changes route but still hit the 16 midi channel problem.
I've set the the Proteus up in multi mode assiging midi A to composer ROM
and midi B to pure Phatt and I cant think of anything else to do, so any
help would be very greatly received.
