GPO will not load. Files greyed out.

Logic gurus,

Strangely L7 pro cannot see my GPO files to load into the Kontakt  
player.
Kontakt can locate the GPO instrument files via options in the  
Kontakt player/users/my user name/library/app. support/logic/GPO  
library/Instruments/Dry/(eg) Brass/French horns but they are grayed  
out and cannot be selected.
I've loaded these GPO files a few months ago with no problem and the  
only thing different in my set up is an upgrade from OS 10.4.9 to  
10.4.10
I've seen the advice on the Garritan forum and repaired permissions.
Also, I tried to run the "Cron jobs" suggestion but it refuses to  
run.  and the  Garritan/NI  forum and the support url's are not valid.
Does anyone have some knowledge in this theatre?
I'm using a dual G4 1ghz.
