Rest assured, the list is still moderated. In the above case, Charle's account was actually set to not moderated (as is yours and most other Logic OT list accounts), but believe me, there are still plenty of spammers trying (and failing) to post here and to the other LUG yahoo lists.

Not IMO necessary. All that happened is that one single spam mail got through. The same attempt was made to the main logic users group mailing list, but Charles' account there was set to moderated. This caught the spam, which I duly deleted. His very graceful apology ends the matter for me.

As mentioned, there is no need to "get rid of it". If you feel that the list is of no further use to you, you can simply unsubscribe, FYI there is no mechanism to allow all of your posts to be deleted automatically.
