LP8 is a workflow destroyer!

Is anyone having this issue with LP8 as well?   I have heard Kontakt which I
am using for my east west stuff (on an intel mac) is the culprit.  Im in the
final stages of a 90 min Doc and finishing in lp8 is a nightmare.  I am
getting 3-6 second lags instanciating a plug in, output, bus, or send, or
opening a plug in.  Arrrrrgh!!!  Anyone else with this issue found a fix? 
On top of that importing environment layers is resulting in incorrectly
assigned tracks, stereo tracks made mono, or left side only.  ESX Plug ins
don't import with environment either, channel strips don't instanciate
reverb sends or pans....currently working on a 4x2.66 Intel Mac with LP 8.02
and PT 7.4 cs5 MAC OS 10.4.9  Any help apperciated.  Thanks!
