Hey gav I had this issue occasionally ok my legacy TDM system. It usually had to do with there being an audio region of a different bot depth than the session being on a DAE track. EG a recycle loop on a DAE track. Id also look at your OS and protools setup. IMO I'd use 10.4.9 or 10.4.11. If its any help I just switched to lp8.0.2 and a majority of audio weirdness is gone On Oct 2, 2008, at 2:53 AM, "Gav" <[email protected]> wrote: Hi Guys, Trust all are well ;~) As above implies, any light on this would be a bonus. My setup: G5 dual 2.5ghz / 4.5gb ram / os 10.4.7 Logic pro 7.2.3 / protools HD3A V7.1.cs9 External FW400 G-drive (1TB - Loads of free space)for audio. Had a track on the go, 30 audio tracks (10 stereo + 10 mono so 20 but up to track 32 label) Plus a bunch of plugs. Omnisphere 1.0.1d, BFD2 - latest v (running 16bit - won't stay stable in 24b mode without having to freeze channel on my setup). I Went to record on tracks 33-34 (stereo) to bounce the track in real time back into logic. It seemed to record fine, drew waveform in real time etc. but when I pressed stop (record end) it freaked, said it's unable to locate the audio file I just recorded, then I and got this error "direct tdm error code -43", clicked ok, then got 'not enough memory" followed swiftly by a crash ;~)did this 3 times...like clockwork! I rebooted 4th time, then tried to record on tracks 3-4 Stereo in same song to test, same audio file path/label etc. and it worked fine!!? Any Idea's? has this to do with tdm or Dtdm driver settings / preferences? I have 64 busses / larger disk buffer active (ticked) on DTDM pref's. Set to 90 audio tracks max(150mb). Audio file record limit set at 50 minutes. DAE driver on 24b global (all song audio files are 24b) This is the bit I don't understand & may be wrongly set for HD3A: PT HD type: set to 96 tracks(2 dsp's) Mix card type: set to 64 tracks Is this set right for HD3a? -1 core+ 2 farm cards, all accel. Any ideas would be appreciated. The system has been largely v stable hence I've not moved up yet (that and the 2.5k cost to swap out Hd cards to pciE!for an intel mac) Only BFD 2 seems v unstable with graphics if you do ANYTHING in logic whilst it's window is open (au), and it won't run stabely in 24b - also freeze files for BFD and Omnisphere have clicks & pops - Any ideas again? I know there's a few issues in there....Any ideas from the brains amonst you? ;`) Ferenc?..Anthony? Thanx in advance.... At least the sun is shining today! Gavin. P.S. Anthony... I never got that quote? ;~) [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ ________________________________________________________________________ Logic TDM Users Group - new forums! http://logic-users.org/forums/L-TDM - To UNSUBSCRIBE: email [email protected] - Search the entire archive: http://logic-users.org/forums/L-TDM/searchYahoo!
