Hi all,

Finally the old G5 with HD-2 PCI went down so I exchanged to HD-2
Accel PCIe and ordered the latest 8-core Mac Pro. Right now trying to
gather some information about the best OS/DAW version combinations.
The Mac I ordered is an 8-Core 2.26GHz [ 6GB 640GB SD NVIDIA GT120 ]

- the new mac probably comes with Snow Leopard installed. I need to go
back to Leopard. I have a 10.5.1 retail version of Leopard. Can I use
this to install Leopard on the new Mac Pro?
- to which Leopard version should I upgrade exactly? 10.5.8 or earlier?
- I was still using PT7 but already ordered and downloaded PT8 awhile
a go. Which PT8 version / Logic versions are recommended, PT 8.0.1
with Logic 9.0.2?
- I expect most of my plugins to work fine (Waves, SoundToys, VSL,
Altiverb) but have grown a bit suspicious of NI plugins together with
Pro Tools - are the latest versions of Komplete 5 and Kore 2 OK or
should I upgrade to Komplete 6?
- is the correct installation order: OS, PT, Logic, plugins?

Thanks for feedback on any of the above,

cheers,

Ivo
