Re: installing new HD rig with Logic TDM - recommended configuration?

Does your computer store have a tech department?  If so have them  
install Leopard as a contingency of the sale.  When I bought my first  
gen 8 core intel a while ago  I was told by my salesperson at Macmall  
who was a Logic and PT user coincidentally, that the then current  
Leopard installed models came with a tiger install disk and would run  
Tiger. This was about a year ago, prior to PT 7.2 release.  Anyway in  
my experience the salesperson was wrong, no install disk, and the  
computer even rejected the Factory Tiger Mac Pro install disk apple  
support sent me.  They by the way were under the impression the  
Leopard loaded intel machines would run tiger as well.  Some of them  
did, apparently but then once the transition was made,  (IE  models  
that were not manufactured prior to the new OS but shipped after)  
they did not.  Leopard to Snow is a smaller jump than Tiger Leopard  
for sure, I hope your experience fares better than mine.  Good Luck!
