Hi Logic users

I am frustrated with my G5, PCI-x PT HD 4 Logic TDM system and its
bugginess with Logic 8. I see a break in my schedule and some
extended travel trips back east (from LA) in my future, so I'm
thinking about making the leap to a laptop ONLY system, without HD at
all..and using that whether or not I'm home or away.

Questions

1. What laptop computer do you advise? I assume the newest MACbook
Pro with maxed out memory.
2. What upper limit track count can I expect (Audio and midi?)
3. Is latency an issue anymore (that's why i used my HD system, but
macs are fast now)
4. Will my Waves Gold (TDM), Autotune (TDM), SSL (TDM) etc and my
Native Instruments, Nexus, trilogy, Omnisphere, RA, Colossus,
Battery, Stylus all work anlongside Logic 9 in Snow Leopard?
5. Are there good audio interfaces that would parallel the quality of
the HD rig?
6. Does the HD rig stand a chance of selling? (as a pro tools only
rig it would kick)
7. Could I use these HD cards (I have an exp chassis) work on the
Macbook Pro laptop for Logic/TDM use, or is that relationship still
precarious at best?

There will be more questions I'm sure, and I appreciate any comments
or feedback

thanks so much

Greg
