Digidesign, I fear, is in serious trouble, and they need to husband
their resources. We knew this day would come sooner or later. I also
think Digidesign is upset about these other options slicing into their
market. TDM is a dinosaur, and people are dumping Digidesign in favor
of native solutions. Logic 9 is incredible, and AU is vastly more
efficient than RTAS.

I've already bought two MH ULN-8s to replace my PT HD6 Accel system,
and I'm just waiting for the next batch of Mac Pros to say goodbye to
Digidesign forever. The upcoming MacPros with the capability of 128 GB
of RAM, 12 cores, and 10 Gbs ethernet should be great for the way I
work. I can hardly wait. I really hope the new Macs come soon in 2010,
so I can unload all my Digi stuff before Digidesign makes any
announcements.
