Retrieve plugin settings from earlier versions

I'm loading some Logic 5.5.1 projects with Logic 9.1.3 and they open fine.
However I don't have the same setup as 5 years ago: some of my plugins have
moved from PPC to Mac Intel, and from version 1 to version 4. So Logic tells me
that the plugin My_Plugin_V1 cannot be found.
Is there a way to export the settings under this instance of My_Plugin_V1
and import them into My_Updated_Plugin_V4?
