Best Audio Interface

Hello,
I have Logic 8 and a G5 OSX 10.5.8 (dual PPC 266mghz non intel)
I have a M-Audio Firewire Solo Audio interface which works but does not with Logic. (Doesn't recognize it)
Does anyone here have a similar cpu and if so what interface are you using? Does it work well?
