Can Transform do this?

I have a stupid question and am hoping one of you doesn't mind answering. In the Piano part I am working on there are only triplets on every beat in 4/4; since we can't import XML from other companies I imported the track [ one region 23 bars long] as a MIDI file. You all know what happened to my triplets, they are OK in bar one but the rest were all changed into 4 8ths per 2 quarter beats, so 8 notes in each bar instead of 4 sets of triplets. is this easy to fix using transform? do I remember transform not working in the score? ANy ideas?
