Yup, I use SD 3.0.5.2 on both a dual boot Mirror Drive Doors G4 booted to =
OS 9.2.2, and a PC with XP SP3 on it, using the version 3.0.5.4 of SD (the =
PC equivalent of 3052). Both work as perfectly as I need. I even got the Wi=
ndows version working on Windows 7 running on an XW8600 server (which has m=
y Pro Tools 10 installation on it); the 64bit version of the OS! although t=
here were issues with some of my synths not playing right with my M8UXL MID=
I interface, so I had to abandon the W7 dream, and revert to XP, where it r=
uns lovely with a Unitor 8 mkII like yours. Better than clunky Mac OS9, and=
miles better than the OSX Beta version, which is completely dud for my syn=
ths. Buggy to the max and utterly unusable.
I'd be amazed if you got SD to work under Classic. Reports are such that =
it doesn't work, so I never even bothered trying.
If you're serious about using SD these days, don't even think of looking =
at using a computer (or OS more specifically) newer than a decade old. I ha=
ve ingeniously woven (using MIDI cables) my Unitor 8 & computer under XP, t=
o the M8UXL & computer under W7. So I can share music making with patch tra=
nsferring without having to endlessly repatch MIDI cables.
  Do it!
