Hi Andy,
the plattform is not decided yet, WIN98 / LINUX suse7.2

i tried a lot of those packages they mostly come without source.
Those that come with source ate more or less useless.

I need a hint on at least 2 questions

what do i have to put into the xxxxx in   fd=fopen("xxxxx","rb");
to where do i have to set the readpointer in order to be in the right place.
