You can update the Icecast via an HTTP(s) update

http://source:PASSWORD@SeverName:8000/admin/metadata?mount=/STREAM&mode=updi
nfo&song=%a%20-%20%t

http://source:PASSWORD@SeverName:8000/admin/metadata?mount=/STREAM&mode=updi
nfo&song=LIVE PROGRAMME%20-%20UNTIL 6PM

Put in your stream password, the DNS name of your server or IP address, and
the mounting point name. Then what you want the stream Metadata to show. %20
is a space

Subject: [Icecast] duration for live stream

It seems Icecast does not indicate a live stream duration as infinity, so
players don't know that the stream is live. Is there a way to make Icecast
indicate a stream is live/infinity duration?

Justin
