That's just your opinion, not a statement of fact. Most of the mastering 
professionals I've heard about still use a great deal of analogue gear, 
so in that sense no all-digital mastering suite is professional yet.

These are your feature requests, not bugs. Can you tell a carpenter is 
'professional' because he uses a nail gun instead of a hammer? The nail 
gun is fast and has lots of features, but every once in a while a cowboy 
builder will staple their nuts to a roof. It's a painful analogy, but 
what I'm saying is that you don't judge a professional by the complexity 
of the tools they use, you go by the results.

By the way, if you want flexibility in routing you can bypass one of the 
plugins in jamin and run plugins in a ladspa host with any routing you 
like. As for meters, trust your ears first and use the meters for 
backup, not the other way round. Squeezing every last dB out of those 
RMS meters leads to nasty, over-compressed results.

I think you've misunderstood how free software works. Proprietary 
products constantly add features because these are meant to justify 
repeat purchases. With free software, once the developers are happy, 
there's no need to add new features.

Right, and you haven't offered to fund Jamin development either, as I 
recall. You're saying:

1. I'll fund Samplitude development because it gives me what I want.

2. I want specific features in Jamin but I won't do any of the work, and 
I expect other people to do that work for me - for free.

So I'm not surprised the features you want have not appeared yet.

Probably because if you are compressing audio that quiet, then adding 
makeup gain to bring the peaks to 0dBFS, you will be raising the noise 
floor a lot too. You'd be better off re-recording.
