Hi everyone,

This is my first email about my GSoC project and it'll be a little
long. Further emails will a lot shorter.

I've spent several weekends on my project already (except for the last
two) and so far I've been storing all the changes in one commit. I've
been doing it this way because I find it easier to reference what I've
already changed, and then when I'm further along in the project I can
commit all relevant bits into individual commits. This (giant!) commit
can be accessed from [1].

All my work can be demoed on rika [2].

The first thing I've been working on is integrating Bootstrap and
rewriting templates to take advantage of its classes. I've spent the
majority of that time working with forms. For example I'm replacing
hard coded <form> elements with a call to 'forms/form.tt'. I'm also
replacing hard coded form child elements with their form_row_* macros,
and have also rewritten most of those macros to use Bootstrap styling.
The site already looks a lot better on a mobile device.

Another feature I've spent some time on was to upgrade the internal
search code to use the 'jsonnew' schema that the search server now
supports. This was done in preparation for using the "unified search"
that Paul created back in around 2011/2012. I have created a front end
to display the results of the unified search [3]. It will display
results for matching artists, release groups, recordings, works, and
labels all on the same page. There is still lots of work to be done
here for both the UI and the search server.

Some smaller stuff I've been mulling over is what to do with our
stuffed navigation menu at the top and how to make it easier to
navigate through various doc page groups like About, Products or the
scattered developer pages.

I had originally wanted to name this release Pilsen after the area of
Chicago where we had our Jan meetup, but Worf seems to be pretty
relevant as well.

On a personal note, my full time co-op job just finished last Friday
and I'm back to school starting this Monday.

P.S. Any thoughts between the two language drop up menus at the bottom
of my sandbox?
