Have you tried to connect to just the MYSQL database outside of 
netjuke?  I'll assume that you named the database 'netjuke' with the 
following command:

mysqladmin -u <user>
    create database netjuke;

After the database was created, can you connect to it using?
mysql -u <user>
    use netjuke;

I havent Used Netjuke in a while, and so now I am reinstalling it on a =
new system. But I seem to be having a problem connecting to the db. Its =
just a MySQL db with what I think are default settings, atleast I havent =
change them, but it is a redhat 8.0 system. But I get a popup window =
with this in it:

Cannot connect to the database using the provided information. =
($dbconn->PConnect)

And then in the browser window it says:

Warning: Lost connection to MySQL server during query in =
/var/www/html/netjuke/lib/adodb/drivers/adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 229

I have tried using both http://127.0.0.1 and http://192.168.1.100 , and =
with out the "HTTP". I am most likely just missing one little piece of =
info that needs to be turned on. If someone could either answer this for =
me, or point me to the right place to look thanks.
