Just to let you guys know that I reinstalled netjuke and adjusted my system 
as suggested above. The import script ran fine (no timeout or anything) but 
it again only imported about 1000 of my six thousand tracks. My music 
directory is laid out like this

root
|
--Dance
|
--Hip-hop
|
--Full Albums
    |
    -- Artist
         |
          -- Album
|
-- Misc

The script parsed all the Dance and Hip-hop tracks and did about 10 of the 
200 or so directories in the Full Albums dir before saying it was complete. 
I am able to add the other directories using the directory browser at about 
300 tracks at a time.

Whay did it not index all the tracks?
