This is purely speculation on my part......... But I speculate that
you're barking up the wrong tree. I think a more likely scenario is
that the "core" security functions of Open MG are in a seperate
package so they can be used by other software (eg Sonic Stage, Real
Jukebox etc).  Removing that package won't suddenly make Open MG
insecure, it'll just render it non-functional.
