As I said in my previous email, it seems to be encoded in ShiftJIS, as
verified by loading track names into a japanese capable word processor:
"I've dumped wchar titles from my discs and loaded them into a japanese
capable word processor.
From what I've seen, they are all encoded in ShiftJIS. Even the
english. Unfortunately, it seems english wchar titles use the "wide"
english character set, which is not understood by most non-shiftJIS
systems (and indeed, is not understood by the Japanese capable rxvt
x-terminal!... at least on my system)."

It seems like you guys missed that bit, unless you've got a
counterexample I dont know about ;)
