If you check out the track as lp2 or lp4 it will not
play on standard MD players (actually it should play
but no sound will be produced). This is to stop
machines that don't understand these newer
compressions from making horrible noises. I would be
interested to know if this also happens with tracks
that are checked out using 
Stereo encoding (ie old style encoding). You can
change the download encoding in Jukebox by looking at
the NetMD properties sheet.

The tracks are marked copy protect so that they cannot
be deleted on older equipment as if you did so your
computer would still think that the track was checked
out (you can only have a track checked out three times
simultaneously).
