My responsibility since I wrote it.

Think of, say, Bach's C major prelude or Schubert's Ave Maria.  Many 
bars have the same arpeggio structure but on different chords.

"Figuration" is intended to let you repeat a figure relative to some 
chord or similar structure rather than absolutely literally.  "Parameter 
Chord" says what it's relative to, typically a chord.

So the idea is that instead of manually writing almost the same thing 
over and over, you can write it once and then say (with the Parameter 
Chord stuff) "Measure 1 is C major, measure 2 is Am, ...".  It's nice if 
you change your mind about what harmony you want to use, then you just 
change a parameter chord and the notes automatically adjust.
